2011, already. Times flies. Time to get back in shape and to plan for this new year.
For me, what’s for sure:
- swimming lessons before summer
- include core exercises and weight lifting in my training
- Tecumseh triathlon (the full one this time) in August
- Detroit full marathon (my second one) in October
What’s maybe:
- Leamington duathlon in June
- Tecumseh half marathon in July
- other small races throughout the year (5K,10K)
The objective here is to still keep the HIM (half Ironman) in mind for 2012. It will depend on my money savings. 2012 might not give me enough time (I need to buy myself a good road/triathlon bike for that).

What’s up for you? What’s your plan for this new year?

With the iPhone4 reception issues, people got nuts all over the Internet, yet we found out the the iPhone is not the only smartphone having this issue and that the real return rate of the new iPhone4 is the lowest ever. However, I couldn’t resist sharing this extremely funny collage about this.

We went to get our new used car last Saturday and will be bringing the Ford back to the dealership before September 1st. We had a crush on this silver 2002 Volkswagon Jetta GLS 1.8T. Although it has a ton of kilometers, the transmission had been replaced, we got it from a garage so safetied, e-tested, and power train under warranty for 6 months/6,000 km (whichever comes first). It had been obviously very well maintained as it’s still in very well condition. A few bumps and paints repair here and there, but hey, it’s not a brand new car. The 4 cylinders has 5 valves per cylinder and a turbo, which gives a nice kick when needed. It’s an automatic/semi-automatic so I can still play with the gears when I want, and Laurie can drive it too. Hopefully it will last us at last 5 years. The good thing is that it saves us $100 payments every month, which should help us paying the eventual repairs.
Laurie always wanted a silver Jetta so here she goes. I like it too as I wanted an European car. Everybody is happy.

Yep, the only iPhone you’ll see in my hand for the next few weeks is the fake I have been given to ease my pain and avoid me to stay in the fetal position until I get the new iPhone4. It is coming late July, if everything works out, otherwise we’ll see delays and I’ll have to wait even longer.
I sold my iPhone 3G and this will allow me to get the new one without having to pay more. In the mean time, I had to go back in time and use again my old Motorolla Flip, the cellphone I got when I first arrived in Canada 5 years ago.
The wait had commenced ,and it will be long. Very long. But when I’ll get the iPhone4, it will be good. Very good.
