I signed up for 2011 Detroit full marathon! See you at the start line on October 16th, 2011!

I ran my first marathon in Detroit on October 18th, 2009. Exactly 12 years to the day my father-in-law Larry Hryniw passed away. I unfortunately didn’t have the chance to have met him. He died of a heart attack and I gave tribute to him in running that marathon for him and for the American Heart Association. You can click here to see my fundraising page. Thanks to my generous donators I raised a total of $460! Support pourred in these last few days! Thank all of you SO MUCH from the bottom of my heart! By the way, you all deserve to be named here, for those who didn’t wish to remain anonymous (they appear in chronologic order):
- Vivian, Boris, Aleks, and Nikolas Stajdohar
- Bernadette and Gino Gotti
- Mireille and Gérard Langlo (dcd)
- Corinne and Cécile
- André and Michelle Roy
- Gael Coupé
- Rachel and Moe Peltier
- Claire Hryniw
- Angela and Paul Knapp
- Mike Croy (Twitter ultrarunner from Royal Oak, MI, USA)
- Nathalie Roy
- Anonymous generous donator (part of the top contributors list)
- Catherine Bibian
- Sue Gelber (Twitter runner from Winnetka, IL, USA)
For those who care, you can download my training log by clicking the following link: Marathon_Training_Schedule.xls. I have included distances in miles as well as in kilometers. It will give you a good idea of what you need to go through if you want to run your first marathon.
